Porter and Paige started school yesterday, and I think they were actually happy to go back. Paige has the same 2nd grade teacher that Porter had, so it was nice that we know her and like her. Porter not only has a male teacher for the first time, he has a male teacher that taught his Uncle Kevin when he was Porter's age. When we went in the day before school to see the classrooms and meet the teachers, Porter's teacher right off said that he had seen me around and had been wanting to ask me if I was a Rose....if I was Kevin's sister. It's so funny that he would remember after all these years. Kevin must have made quite the impression...........or maybe it was just a family with 6 girls and then finally a boy that made the impression. Anyway, I think both the kids have great teachers, and they are going to have a great year!
Now it is just me and Ben again. Yesterday as the kids were getting ready for school, he decided to make his own plans for the day. He told me "I am going to grandma's house to play. You can drop me off before you drop them off." I am definitely going to have my hands full keeping him entertained.
