Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Ours was great.......both of them! We spent Thanksgiving Day with my family, and then we spent Friday with Matt's family and got to have another fabulous meal. The only thing that put a damper on our holiday was that Matt was pretty sick and miserable all week. This seems to have become our new Thanksgiving tradition......someone always to seems to be sick or get sick on Thanksgiving. Matt had taken the entire week off and was planning on getting a lot of work done on the bathroom. Instead, he spent most of the week drugged up on the couch. Fun.
Anyway, I am so excited for December! I love this time of the year! As soon as the kids saw that other people were putting up Christmas decorations and trees they started pestering us about ours. We put up our tree on Monday and the kids had a great time decorating it.
Ben kept asking us "Where does this one go" like all the ornaments had a specific spot. He would just stand there with an ornament in his hand looking lost until I told him where to put it.
When I was younger, I remember my sisters and I would lay under the Christmas tree and stare up through the branches at the lights and ornaments........just soaking up the excitement and happiness of Christmas. I still had the urge to do that, but settled for turning out all the lights except the ones on the tree, turning on Christmas music, and snuggling up next to Matt on the couch to just enjoy the moment.

That sounds great. It looks like you guys had a great time decorating. Jay played video games while I decorated the tree. I do have to give him credit though because he did put the lights on the house. Tayson put on one ornament and then went outside to play. Tatum was napping. Hopefully they'll get into the spirit a little more as the month goes by.

I remember laying under the tree, too! Must have been a very special moment every year for us! We haven't put a tree up yet, but that's because Bob insists on a real tree and he loves to go and cut it himself and everything. But, once it gets home, it's all me and the kids. :) Miss you!
Good memories! And you're in the same house! I love the flowers on your tree!
I miss you guys. I hope you all are feeling much better. Do you remember making up things that go with the color of the lights? Like green was for grass, blue was for sky? I really hope to see you all at Christmas.
