CATCHING UP ON MY CATCHING UP

I am not doing too well with my catching up. Oh well, it will all get on here eventually. This month we got to add another activity to our schedule. Porter is playing soccer for the first time. I got a call one day from his best friend's mom saying that her son was going to be playing again, she was going to be the coach, and they thought it would be great if Porter was on their team. Porter has not shown any interest in playing soccer before, so I was surprised when he said he was all for it. Running is not his thing (he's like his mom!), so the first couple of games were a little rough, though he did manage to score a goal in his first game! I can definitely see improvement in him with each games, and even the running seems to be getting easier now. When I asked him if he wanted to play again in the spring, he wasn't sure. I think he enjoys the practices where they drill and kick the ball around, but he's not too sure about the actual games. So I guess I'll have to wait and see if I get to keep being a soccer mom.
