BUSY LITTLE GIRL

Paige was such a busy little girl two weekends ago!! On Friday night her Brownie troop had an end of the year award banquet/campout. They stayed at a Girl Scout Camp closeby and had a nice cozy lodge............I know not technically camping, but probably as close to camping as you would want to get with fifteen 2nd and 3rd graders. Matt, Ben, and I (Porter was staying at a friends) took Paige up and had a wonderful time eating & chatting. Then there was a wonderful ceremony, and I got to hand out cookie awards to all the girls which was fun. Most of these girls have been in the troop together since it started, and it is so sad that things will be changing next year. Some of the girls will be moving up to an older troop, and one of the leaders will be going with them. Some of the girls are moving away. Paige's best friend Hannah is in the troop, and her mom has been one of the leaders. They are moving over the summer, and we are so sad!!!! I absolutely love Hannah's mom.......I think I might just miss her more than Paige will miss Hannah. Paige has had so many great experiences in Brownies, and it is sad that things will have to change so much next year. Man do I hate change. Oh well, hopefully we'll all adapt and have just as much fun. I've already committed to being Cookie Mom again since I enjoyed doing it this year. Anyway, that was a little tangent, huh? After the ceremony, we left Paige and went home to watch Astro Boy and paint the family room (which is a whole other story). On Saturday after we picked Paige up from camping, she had to go to an extra dance practice, and then come home and get ready for her baptism (which will be my next post). The poor girl was such a bear by the time we got home on Saturday night. She was so exhausted.
