Just a belated little holiday post. I am getting really bad about taking pictures, but here a few to highlight some of my favorite parts of our Christmas:
The kids were very good about letting us sleep in. On Christmas Eve, Paige came out of her room with her alarm clock and asked me how to set it. I told her there was no way I was going to let her set it......then when I went in to check on the kids before I headed off to bed I noticed that the alarm in Porter and Ben's room was set. It was dark in their room and I wasn't sure how to check what time they had it set for, but I gave an evil little chuckle and immediately went to shut it off!!!! The next morning Porter told me it had been set for 7:35, so I guess I wasn't able to foil any of their early morning plans after all seeing as how we were all up by 7:45 anyway.
My sister Kelley made and was selling the cutest aprons for Christmas gifts this year, and Paige just makes the cutest little model in hers.
I didn't get any pictures of Christmas day with my family. My dad had hip replacement surgery the Monday before Christmas, so we just spent a very quiet day at my parent's eating and visiting. We also had a very nice day with Matt's family at his parent's house in Iowa. Porter was very excited to get to try out his cousin's snowboard. Matt gave it a try too.
My kids (and yes, I am including Matt in that phrase) had hours and hours of fun with their new toy from Uncle Paul and Aunt Amy.
I had two whole weeks off from babysitting, so we really just got to spend lots of time together as a family. I loved coming downstairs one morning and finding Porter and Ben snuggled up together in the chair. Spending time with family is definitely my favorite part of the holidays.

Our Christmas was nice, too! Thanks for the posting the picture of Paige in her apron! It is the first time I've seen one on the owner rather than the hanger! She's so cute!
Thanks for the post! Looks like a fun time well spent with family! Glad you had a nice Christmas!
